The Washington State Department of Transportation created this site for employees, partners, and other transportation professionals to learn more about Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSMO) tools. At WSDOT, we use TSMO strategies to optimize the multimodal transportation system, helping meet TSMO goals including safety, performance, equity and sustainability.
Note: WSDOT is actively reviewing the site and further updates are anticipated.
Discover TSMO strategy articles and resources by:
- Categories: represent the main groups of TSMO strategies as defined in the TSMO Program Plan. Find category groupings on the home page and strategies & concepts filter.
- Strategies & Concepts: this filter helps narrow or expand articles using specific characteristics.
- Needs & Issues: groupings of common challenges you may need TSMO strategies to solve.
- Keyword: search bars located in the header and at the bottom of the home page.
This site is meant to strengthen not replace guidance found in the WSDOT Design and WSDOT Traffic manuals and other resources. The Resources page provides access to TSMO case studies and other reference material. The Updates page provides access to TSMO related news briefs.
